Russian conversation guide - Guia de conversação russo

Russian-speaking countries

This article is a conversation guide .

O Russian (Russkiy язык, russkiy yazyk, lit. "Russian language") is spoken as the mother tongue in the Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, and widely used in Latvia, Estonia and in the various other countries that formed the constituent republics of the Soviet Union. When traveling in these countries, it is very useful to speak at least a little of the language, as in the Russian-speaking world, English is rarely spoken, and Portuguese even less so.

Cyrillic alphabet

By learning the alphabet, it is possible to pronounce all the words in the language with some precision. It is impossible to overemphasize the benefits of knowing how to read road signs and signs in a Russian travel situation.
