Songhai, or koyro boro senni, is a language of the Nilo-Saharan family, spoken in the North of Mali, of Timbuktu at Gao, as well as in part of the Niger. There are different variants of which the most widespread and used is the one spoken in the region of Gao. However, the mutual understanding of the different variants between them is quite large.
