The Hasetal lies in the west Lower Saxony, between Oldenburger Münsterland, Osnabrück region and Emsland.

The Hasetal is a recreation area in the south-west of Lower Saxony and extends from the Osnabrücker Land to the Emsland. The valley is named after the river Hase, which meanders from the source in Melle in the Teutoburg Forest, through the Artland, the Oldenburger Münsterland to Meppen in the Emsland through beautiful landscapes. Many leisure activities take place on and along the river. The Hasetal is known for its beautiful cycle paths along the Hase.
