Hastings (Barbados) is a city in Barbados.
background
As a "by-product" of the Savannah garrison, this site was opened up in the 18th century. Even today, some of the red-brick accommodations, such as the naval hospital and the admiral's quarters can be seen. The place has two major residential areas, the districts of Marine Gardens and Navy Gardens. It is the first tourist center east of Bridgetown. Hotel complexes and private houses are mixed up in a colorful mix. Many Bridgetown residents can be found here, especially on the weekends. Unfortunately, most of the once beautiful beach has been washed away.
