Stronghold-oh is an Upper Austrian municipality, it is located on the right bank of the Salzach opposite the Bavarian city Burghausen.

The municipality of Hochburg-Ach has around 3,200 inhabitants, it consists of a total of 24 suburbs. The administrative seat is in the largest district Duttendorf. The small Unterweitzberg is known as the birthplace of Franz Xaver Gruber, Composer of the Christmas carol silent Night. This song first came in on Christmas 1818 Oberndorf near Salzburg for the performance, it is now considered an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO.
