Hohenwartet Reservoir - Hohenwartetalsperre

The Hohenwartetalsperre located in Thuringia and is the second of five hall levels. It is also called "Thuringian Sea". The dam is near Eichicht. The end of the reservoir is at Ziegenrück, where the dam is used for flood protection and electricity generation. A pumped storage plant is used by Vattenfall for peak load power generation.
