Huamantla is a city in Mexico.
background
In 1847 a battle between the Americans and Mexicans in the Mexican-American War took place here, and in 2007 the city was awarded the Pueblo Mágico. In addition to the cathedral and city center, the many smaller churches in the suburbs are also interesting.
Huamantla is the Mexican center for bullfighting. The "Huamantlada" festival also includes bull runs. At Easter the streets are decorated with colored sawdust. (Alfombras de aserrín)
