The Córdoba wetland is part of the wetland system of the city of Santa Fe de BogotaIt is located in the town of Suba, comprising part of the neighborhoods of Pontevedra, Nice, and Lagos de Córdoba, among others. It is a very quiet place, ideal for a walk through the beautiful forests that surround the wetland, which take us away from the smog and make us forget the noise of the city. In the middle of this urban lung, the vegetation is made up of native species, such as alders and foreigners such as urapan, we can also appreciate varieties of wetlands such as reed, the birdlife is a bit elusive but if you walk in silence and with great attention You will be able to see different types of birds that inhabit this strategic ecosystem of the city of Bogotá.
These characteristics make this space an environmental classroom and an excellent point for the development of ecotourism within the city. The route that I recommend begins at Calle 117 C with Avenida Boyacá, from there we walk southeast along a path that borders the wetland until we reach Avenida Suba, through which we walk about 100 meters north to Calle 118 where we enter Back to the wetland, bordering it along a path that takes us to Carrera 71D where we walk north until we find Avenida Boyacá where we continue walking southwest until we find the starting point, this route has a length of approximately 4 kilometers and includes the best viewpoints and the best preserved areas of the Córdoba wetland.
