Iguala is a city in Guerrero, Mexico.
Understand
Known as the city of tamarinds for its tamarind trees surrounding the downtown cathedral and as the birthplace of the Mexican flag on account of an individual named José Magdaleno Ocampo who crafted the Flag of the Three Guarantees here after Mexican gained independence from Spain in 1821, sadly all that is eclipsed by the tragic kidnapping incident of 43 students that took place in Iguala in 2014.
