Ihnasya el-Madina (also Ehnasya, Arabic:إهناسيا المدينة‎, Ihnāsyā al-Madīna) is a district capital with 40,000 inhabitants[1] and an archaeological site in the egyptian Governorate Beni Suef. In the area of ​​the city are the remains of the former ancient Egyptian city Herakleopolis Magna. The most important remains come from the temple of Herischef, who was equated with the Greek god Heracles.

In the city center is an extensive archaeological site, the Kōm ed-Dinār. The local temple of Herischef was built in the 12th dynasty under Amenemhet I and Sesostris I and was extensively expanded under Ramses II.
