Horyu-ji

  • 1  Horyu-ji (Temple of the Exalted Law)

The Hōryū-ji is the oldest largely preserved Buddhist temple complex in Japan. It consists of a western district Sai-in Garan and an eastern district Tô'in Garan. The temple complex was built around 605 AD. built. After a fire in 670, it was rebuilt and gradually expanded.
