How to get
TO Cartagena numerous companies offer boat tours for Islas del Rosario. Trips normally include lunch, a visit to an aquarium and a few hours in Playa Blanca. Not included in the price are parking (about COP 12,000 in total) and the entrance ticket to the aquarium (COP 15,000). If you buy your tour from street vendors it is better not to pay everything in advance, it is preferable to pay part or all of the cost on return to Cartagena. At least one of these tours is directed to the "Coco Liso" resort, a Colombian chain similar to the English Butlins. From the vendors on the beach it is possible to buy coral pieces, and, if you continue the conversation, you can persuade them to be accompanied to a private beach, very beautiful and suggestive and usually denied to tour operators. At the tourist offices in the historic center, you can compare the various options and choose the trip that best suits your needs.
