Jaipurhat District - Jaipurhat District

Jaipurhat District (alternatively, Joypurhat) is located in north-eastern Bangladesh, within the Rajshahi Division. It lacks any major tourist attractions, though is a good example of a traditional Bangladeshi landscape. The district has become an important agricultural area for the country, growing crops such as jute, bananas, onions, potatoes and sugar. The largest sugarcane mill in the entire country is located here.

The capital of the district is Joypurhat, with major towns including Panchbibi, Kalai, Khetlal and Akkelpur.
