The Jarabacoa Valley has an average annual temperature of 22 ° C at an altitude of about 500 m above sea level. Coffee is grown in the valley and various coffee factories can be visited.

- Saltos de Jimenoa. The 40 meter waterfall "Saltos de Jimenoa" is located around 5 kilometers southeast on the road to Constanza.
- Los Saltos de Baignate. The waterfall “Los Saltos de Baignate” can be reached via a dirt road (2½ km) and another 800 meter footpath.
- Mogote. A day hike on the 1700 m high mountain "Mogote" near Jarabacoa. The landscape gives a good impression of the Dominican mountains.
- Pico Duarte. A two-day hiking tour (can also be done with riding mules for a surcharge) to Pico Duarte, the highest point in the Caribbean, 3078 m high. This tour is certainly one of the most interesting excursion destinations on the island and by crossing three vegetation zones, the participant gets to see a lot of flora and fauna. Warning: the ascent is steep and sapping. No excursion for the physically unconditioned, weather clothing is absolutely necessary.
