- 7 Namwon - is the city of origin of several important titles of Korean classical literature, such as Chunhyangjeon Y Heungbujeon. Chunhyangjeon was written for Pansori at first, but then people got to know the story as a novel. It is a representative Korean love story written in the Joseon period (1392-1910). Namwon is also the setting for the story of Heungbujeon, another of Korea's leading works of classical literature.
