- 1 Kronotski State Biosphere Nature Reserve (Кроноцкий заповедник) – The reserve has been classified as World Heritage by UNESCO. It is home to the only valley of geysers in Russia, several mountain ranges, a large number of volcanoes, active and extinct, among which the highest active volcano in Eurasia, Kliutshevskoy, which rises to 4 750 m altitude. The reserve is mainly accessible to scientists as well as some 3,000 tourists per year, who pay a fee of about US $ 700 to access it by helicopter.
