By plane
Cape Town International Airport (DATE: CPT, [2]) is located 20 kilometers east of the city center. From Europe at least Lufthansa, KLM and British Airways fly directly to Cape Town. To Johannesburg, there are more flights to the country's largest airport, and sometimes it may be cheaper to fly first to Johannesburg and from there to low cost airline To Cape Town.
From the airport there are buses of different companies to the city center (price about 120 rand). If you decide to go by taxi (price about 300 rand), you should choose Touch Down Taxis taxi as they are the only official taxis at the airport. The field also has offices for all major car rental companies.
By bus
There are plenty of buses to Cape Town from the surrounding cities and countries. For example, from Windhoek (Namibia) to Cape Town in 20 hours and about 690 rand (InterCape). The trips are long but inexpensive, and during the trip you can see the uniquely beautiful scenery of South Africa.
By train
There are also train connections to the city, but the distances are long and the trains are slow. For example, a daily departing train To Johannesburg runs anesthetized for 25 hours.

Cape Town Station is in the city center, at the corner of Adderley Street and Strand Street.
The local train route south to Simon's Town is really beautiful.

- Cape of Good Hope. Although it is not the southernmost point in Africa, it is said that the two seas meet on the Cape of Good Hope.
