The Katharinenberg (Arabic:جبل كاترين, Ǧabal Kāt (a) rīn, also Gebel / Jabal Katrina or Mount Catherine) is located five kilometers southwest of the Catherine's Monastery and at 2,637 meters is the highest mountain in the Sinai and Egypt.

The mountain is named after St. Catherine of Alexandria named. The saint is one of the most popular saints in the Catholic Church.
