Flughafen Köln-Bonn is located southeast of the city and is mainly used for domestic flights.

By train

With the ICE you travel in just under 2 hours and 40 minutes from Amsterdam Central, or in 1 hour 35 from Arnhem to Cologne. From Brussels you can reach Cologne in about 1 hour and 50 minutes by Thalys or ICE. [1]

By car

From the north and east of the Netherlands via the German A31 (Emden-Gelsenkirchen), A2 and A3. At Kreuz Köln Ost follow route 55a towards Zoo. You can park at the Zoo(PR) and from there take the tram into the city.From the west of the Netherlands and the Arnhem area: via the Dutch A12 and German A3 to Kreuz Köln Ost, continue as above.Alternative from the direction of Arnhem: via the A50 , A73 and A77 to the German A57. Follow this all the way until it changes to L100 (Innere Kanalstrasse) in Köln nord. Follow these until the exit P R Zoo, where you can park and continue your journey by tram into the center.
