Worth seeing

  • The wooden articulated church of St. Trinity from 1717, the so-called an old evangelical church, entered in 2008 on the UNESCO World Heritage List;
  • The Town Hall from 1461, rebuilt in the classical style in 1779;
  • St. Cross from the thirteenth century - the largest late gothic minor basilica in Spisz. Holy Cross, with a free-standing Renaissance belfry;
  • Late gothic castle erected in the second half of the 15th century, extended many times later;
  • Baroque Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary (Pauline Fathers) from 1747;
  • The new Evangelical church (the so-called green) from 1873–1894, built in the Classicist-Oriental (so-called New Byzantine) style, with the tomb chapel of Emeryk Thököly from 1909;
  • The building of the Evangelical high school from 1774-1776, rebuilt in the 19th century;
  • Classicist building, the so-called Redoubts from 1818.
