Understand

Cities

The island has only really developed since the 2000s, many places remain untouched. In short, the entire west coast is home to a few buildings, while on the east coast there is not even a road. Because of this Koh Chang remains a protected national park of the kingdom, it is a calm place, the beaches are very fine and white sand, the sea is warm, the island is a huge tropical forest.

  • Kai Bae is a very beautiful village, the guesthouses present are very nice, with their feet in the water.

Other destinations

To go

The best way to come to Koh Chang is to take a bus leaving from Kao San Road at Bangkok (one leaves every morning) Once you get off the ferry, however, you will be completely abandoned and you will have to find a way to get to a village. For this, some pick-ups will take you for 50 bath, or then depending on your arrival dock you can rent a scooter. However the roads are a roller coaster ride, it is advisable to be a rather seasoned driver of two wheels to hire one.
