According to official data from 2011, Colombia had over 200 cities with a population of over 7,000. residents. The largest city is the capital of Bogotá, located almost in the center of the country - it was the only city with over 5 million inhabitants; 3 cities with a population of 1 ÷ 5 million; 5 cities with a population of 500 ÷ 1000 thousand; 33 cities with a population of 100,000 ÷ 500,000; 44 cities with a population of 50,000 ÷ 100,000; 58 cities with a population of 25,000 ÷ 50,000 and the rest of the cities below 25,000 residents.
