Collwezi - a city in the south-eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the capital of the Lualaba Province. Center for the exploitation of copper, zinc and cobalt ores and industry (chemical, metallurgical, metal and food industries). The fourth largest city in the country.
One of the longest Inga-Shaba high voltage direct current lines is reaching the city. It provides electricity from the Inga Dam for the needs of mines located around the city. The line is 1,700 km long and was designed to transport 560 MW of electricity at a voltage of 500 kV.
