The Democratic Republic of the Congo is huge. It contains the second largest rainforest in the world. The main river (Congo) is one of the largest and deepest rivers in the world. Many smaller rivers flow almost everywhere through the country. As the dirt roads are generally insufficient, the rivers remain in our time the main transport route. In the eastern part there are vast lakes and a common place - lava lake. The southern part of the country is not covered as much by forests as the other parts.
