Jerusalem - Kudüs

Jerusalem / Jerusalem (Hebrew: יְרוּשָׁלַיִם, Jerusalem; Arabic: القُدس, al-Quds), Middle EastIt is an ancient city built on a plateau in the Yehuda Mountains in the Canaan region of . It is a holy city for Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. It is located between the Mediterranean Sea and the northern border of Ölüdeniz (Lut Lake). Taken together with East Jerusalem, it is Israel's largest city in terms of area and population. Over 800,000 inhabitants and 125.1 km2 has area.

Today, the status of Jerusalem shows itself as one of the most important problems of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, West Jerusalem was captured by Israel, while all of East Jerusalem, including Old Jerusalem, was captured by Jordan. During the Six-Day War of 1967, Israel began to control a large area, including East Jerusalem. Today, Israel's basic legal laws recognize Jerusalem as the "indivisible capital of Israel". The international community rejects the recent occupation and defines East Jerusalem as the Palestinian border under Israeli occupation. Many central government addresses of the State of Israel are in Jerusalem. Among them are the Knesset (parliament), the Prime Minister and President's residences, and the Supreme Court. The Hebrew University and Israel Museum are also in Jerusalem. It has many touristic and historical places.
