The Grand Site des 2 Caps

In 2011, the Grand Site des Deux-Caps was awarded the Grand Site de France label.

8 municipalities have been labeled: Wissant, Tardinghen, Audinghen, Audresselles and Ambleteuse which are part of La Terre des 2 Caps, and 3 neighboring towns: Sangatte, Escalles and Wimereux.

This label protects the exceptional landscapes of the Opal Coast, in the same way as the Baie de Somme (Picardy, Sum), Gard's Bridge (Languedoc-Roussillon, Gard), etc.
