Valletta, in Maltese Il-Belt Valletta or more simply Valetta, is the capital of Malta and bears the title of Città Umilissima. It is classified at Unesco World Heritage since 1980.

- 1 Malta International Airport (IATA : MLA, ICAO: LMML, Ajruport Internazzjonali ta 'Malta) in Luqa (8 km southwest of Valletta) – platform for Air Malta, the island's only airport located in Luqa. From the airport, taxis and buses allow you to reach the capital.

Car traffic inside Valletta is restricted to taxis and residents. Many streets are pedestrianized.
To see
- 1 St-Jean co-cathedral – very beautiful baroque architecture. On the ground, the tombstones of the knights and dignitaries of the island form a veritable marble mosaic. Paid entry.
- The museum dedicated to Caravaggio (access by the cathedral, common ticket office).
- 2 Palace of the Grand Masters – today seat of the Presidency of the Maltese Republic. Most of the building can be visited.
