Lambarene is a city of Gabon.

Understand

Famous for its hospital, Lambaréné stretches along the right bank of the Ogooué river which flows into the ocean at Port-Gentil. The memory of the "Grand Blanc" (Doctor Schweitzer) is kept in the hospital museum. Dr Schweitzer's hut can be visited (personal items, various materials and views of the time).
