Layton is a small town in the Wasatch Range North of Utah. The place is a quarter of an hour south of Ogden and half an hour north of Salt Lake City.

Layton is a pleasant place to stay for visitors to the area.

Around 1850 Mormons settled in the area around the Great Salt Lake, they named the settlement Kays Creek. In 1886 it was renamed to after the name of a previous settler Layton.
