- Luentse - the administrative capital of the district of Lhuentse
- Khoma - an hour's walk and main road to Lhuentse Dzong - famous for its fabric clothes called Kishu Thara.

- Singye Dzong - sacred valley and monastery founded by Yeshi Tsogyal and visited by guru Rinpoche on his second visit to the country. It is three days' walk from Khoma.

Lhuentse is one of the most remote and least developed districts in Bhutan, with the landscape to the north dominated by the Himalayas. The district is famous for its fabrics, which are not bought in stores but directly from weavers, mainly in the village of Khoma.
