Characteristic
The oldest coal mining center in the Donetsk Coal Basin, as well as the center of the chemical, glass, machinery, food, clothing and building materials industries. Lisichansk, despite its relatively late uprising, is one of the oldest cities in the Donbas.

By plane
The nearest airport is located 12 km from the city center, in Severodonetsk. The airport belongs to the company OAO Ukrtransnafta. Unfortunately, at the beginning of 2020, the airport was closed. Currently, the nearest active international airport is Luhansk (code: VSG). Flights from Lugansk are only possible to Moscow and Kiev.

By car
Lisichańsk is an important road junction.
By bus
There are regular bus connections from many Ukrainian cities. There are direct buses from Donetsk, Kharkiv, Berdianska, Mariupoland others.
Communication
The public transport in Lisiczańsk consists of a trolleybus line and city marshrutkas, which travel mainly in the center. Some of them go to more distant parts of the city or beyond its borders (e.g. to Siewierodoniecko).
