Little india is, as the name suggests, the heart of the large Indian community of Singapore. Although it tends somewhat to be a sanitized version of theIndia True, Little India retains its authenticity and remains one of the most picturesque and alluring places in all of Singapore.

MRT stations Little india and Farrer Park on the North East Line, near Serangoon Road, provide easy access. The main artery of Little India is Serangoon Road, which begins at Rochor Canal Road and continues north to Serangoon and up to Punggol. The area is in fact very concentrated and can easily be covered on foot.
