- Motorcycle excursions. If possible, rent a (private) motorcycle. Avoid the main roads as much as possible because of the unfamiliar driving style. A tour to the offshore island, which gives a good idea of rural life in the delta, is definitely recommended. The archaic brick factories, where rice chaff is used to fire the huge ovens, are absolutely worth seeing.
- Another destination is the breeding colony of black and white ibises, only accessible by motorcycle. Off the road to Can Tho, the driveway is difficult to find. Hundreds (thousands?) Of breeding pairs can be observed from a pedestal.
