Luso is a spa town in the Portuguese Aveiro parish in the Centro region.

background

In 1810 a battle between the Anglo-Portuguese army under Wellington and Napoleonic troops took place here on Mount Buçaco (Bussaco).

In 1937 the city received its town charter.
