- Maarsseveense Plassen - the Maarsseveense Plassen is a recreational lake in Maarsseveen, municipality of Maarssen, in the Dutch province of Utrecht. The recreation area consists of an approximately 2000 x 500 meters rectangular recreational lake which was created by sand extraction in the 1960s for the construction of the Utrecht district "Overvecht". The very clean water is up to 30 meters deep in some places and there are also a few diving clubs active. In addition, there are extensive recreational facilities and on beautiful summer days the recreation center attracts many thousands of visitors. There are two beaches that require payment, one of which (entrance Westbroekse Binnenweg on the north side of the lake) has a separate nudist beach. However, most of the lake is freely accessible and has a variety of sunbathing areas on the water, including two nudist beaches (also on the north side of the lake) that are very popular on sunny days. There is an excellent paved foot/cycle path around the lake which is very popular with joggers, skaters, cyclists and walkers. There are also regular running competitions. The length of this path around the lake is almost 5 km.
- The Fight - The Vecht is a beautiful river that meanders through the equally beautiful landscape. The Romans used the Vecht in earlier times as part of the trade route between Southern Europe and Scandinavia. Today, the Vecht is characterized by the beautiful remaining country estates that were founded by Amsterdam merchants in the golden age.
