Maclean is a city in the state New South Wales in Australia. Quite a pleasant place is the center of the fishing industry on the Clarence River. The residents maintain their Scottish heritage and that's why they name it The Scottish Town.

Maclean is a good 46 km from on the Pacific Highway, which runs parallel to the leisurely Clarence River Grafton away. Today the highway just passes the city.

The Shark Creek Bridge, formerly part of the Pacific Highway
  • Sugar mill, on Harwood Island. Worth seeing. However, you can only visit them from May to December, because only then is the sugar cane pressed. During this time, the mill is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Stone Cottage Museum, on Wharf Street. Historical Museum.
  • Nungera Aboriginal Museum, on River Street.
  • Maclean Lookout. Maclean Lookout, a lookout on Wharf Street, looks out over some of the 100 islands that make up the Clarence River.
  • Woodford Island. The most important island, which is enclosed by two arms of the Clarence River between Grafton and Maclean and is more often flooded. With 37 km² it is the largest river island in the southern hemisphere.
  • Pinnacle Rock. An interesting rock formation with a lot of caves.
