Marojejy National Park[dead link] is in the Antsiranana Province of Madagascar. It is one of six national parks along the east coast of Madagascar that make up the UNESCO World Heritage Site Rainforests of the Atsinanana.

The national park is located around the Marojejy Summit, 2132 m above the sea level and along the Marojejy Massif.

Flora and fauna

There is a high level of biodiversity in the park, and it is home to 115 bird species, 148 reptile and amphibian species, and 11 lemur species. The helmet vanga is the iconic bird of the park.

Entrance fees are the same for all of Madagascar's most-visited national parks, with a portion of the fee generally shared with the local communities in an effort to promote conservation. Guide fees are an additional charge. Fees are accurate as of October 2014:

  • 2 days: 37,000 Ar per person
  • 3 days: 40,000 Ar per person
  • 4 days: 50,000 Ar per person
  • Malagasy nationals: 1,000 Ar per person per day.
