Tourist Attractions

  • Brancion Castle. It is located east of the village on the same ridge. The castle dates back to the 10th century. The castle was expanded in the 14th century so that it could serve as a residence for the Burgundian dukes. In 1594 it was partially destroyed during the League Wars and was never rebuilt. The western donjon remained standing and was restored.Open: April - October daily 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., 2 p.m. - 7 p.m.
  • Peterskirche (Saint-Pierre). The early Romanesque St. Peter's Church (Saint-Pierre) is located west of the village. The wall paintings are unfortunately poorly preserved, but still worth seeing. In the left aisle is the tomb of Josserands de Brancion.
