- Historic Downtown. The center of Medina is one of the most intact examples of 19th century business architecture within the Erie Canal region. With many interesting, independently run shops, the district also invites you to window-shop. That built in 1864 Bents Opera House (which unfortunately serves other purposes today) is one of the oldest surviving opera houses in the country.
- Medina Aqueduct, at Laurel St. The only remaining aqueduct of the Erie Canal, which has a waterfall here Medina Falls, bridged. From Manilla Place you have a good view of both.
- Medina Historical Society Museum, 406 West Ave. Tel.: 1 585-798-3006. Small local history museum.Open: 1st and 3rd Sun of the month 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. (and by appointment).
- Medina Railroad Museum, 530 West Ave. Tel.: 1 585-798-6106. Small railway museum, the most prominent exhibit of which is a huge model railway system. On some days you can also take a ride on the Museum train book.Open: Tue - Sun 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.Price: Entry $ 6 (Seniors $ 5, Children 2-15 $ 3).
- 1 St. John's Church, 200 E Center St, at Church St. This church, built in 1832, is one of the oldest buildings in the city.
