the Metropolitan Museum of Art (also says Met) is a museum located Central park in Manhattan, new York (United States). The Met has two extensions in Manhattan with the Met Breuer (located at 945 Madison Avenue) and the Met Cloisters (located at 99 Margaret Corbin Drive).

To go
To get to the Met by metro, take the to 86 Street Lexington Av or 77 Street. From the metro stations, you have to walk about 10 min towards Central Park to arrive at the museum.
Covered parking is available at the museum, museum members benefit from reduced rates.
Entrance for people with disabilities is at 81st Street.

The Met has one of the most remarkable collections of European painting in the world. Most of the paintings focus on the masters of the 19e century. Particularly on French, Italian and Dutch painters, from Monet, Cézanne, Rembrandt, Vermeer to Van Gogh.

- 1 The cafeteria (The Cafeteria) (on the ground floor) – It is a place to eat for the whole family with à la carte menus. The cafeteria is located on the ground floor. The place is big enough, but it is not the most beautiful place to eat in the museum.

At the American Art Café, it's 100% American cuisine. It is classic, simple and fast. The plus is the view of Central Park. The café is located on level 1.
