To get to the Met by metro, take the 456 to 86 Street Lexington Av or 77 Street. From the metro stations, you have to walk about 10 min towards Central Park to arrive at the museum.

Covered parking is available at the museum, museum members benefit from reduced rates.

Entrance for people with disabilities is at 81st Street.

European painting

The sunflowers by Vincent van Gogh is on display in room 965.

The Met has one of the most remarkable collections of European painting in the world. Most of the paintings focus on the masters of the 19e century. Particularly on French, Italian and Dutch painters, from Monet, Cézanne, Rembrandt, Vermeer to Van Gogh.
