Miramar is a seaside resort in the south of the province of Buenos Aires on the Atlantic coastArgentina. The place, which has around 15,000 inhabitants, is particularly popular with families.
background
Miramar is considered to be the most family-friendly of the major seaside resorts in Argentina. Because of the numerous activities on offer for children and young people, it becomes Ciudad de los Niños called. But also nature lovers can enjoy the place, which is embedded in low hills and has several rocky reefs in the sea.
getting there
The starting point for the journey is usually the large seaside resort Mar del Platawhich acts as a transport hub in the region.
By plane
The nearest airport is in Mar del Plata. From there you have to take a bus.
By train
The train Buenos Aires - Miramar is currently suspended. But you can take the train to Mar del Plata and change to a bus there. A combined bus and train station is currently being built in Mar del Plata, which of course will simplify the procedure considerably.
By bus
There is a good bus connection (1 1/4 hours) from Mar del Plata (Terminal) to Miramar, even outside the bathing season.
In the street
Miramar is 48 km west of Mar del Plata, see directions there, then continue on the Ruta Provincial 11 Head west (Miramar is well signposted as it is the last major destination on this route).
By boat

As usual in Argentina, public transport is limited to city buses.
Tourist Attractions
- Florentino Ameghino dune garden. Nice green area at the south end of the city. Here they experiment with planting the dunes and sell seeds from successful plants to other places.
- Museo Municipal. With historical evidence and fossils.
- Bosque Vivero or Bosque Energetico. The only piece of natural forest far and wide (when you have passed the barbecue areas!).

- Atlantic Golf Club. The Golf Club is one of the few golf parks in Argentina that is located directly on the sea. It is in the north of the village.

The nightlife is dominated by young people. All discos are musically mainstream. There is also a casino.
