Miranda do Douro (Miranda de l Douro in Mirandese) is a town in the district of Bragança, on the right bank of the river Douro, at 682 m altitude, right on the border of Portugal with Spain, in the middle of the Land of Miranda and International Douro Natural Park. It is famous for the Pauliteiros de Miranda.

- 1 , Largo do Menino Jesus da Cartolinha. The castle had a square-shaped plan, and its walls, in granite and schist, were battled and reinforced at three external angles by turrets (two rectangular and one hexagonal), surrounding a considerable square of arms, currently reduced to a large yard. To the north, the complex is dominated by the Keep, at an elevation of 682 meters above sea level. The village fence covered a total perimeter of six hundred paces, torn by three doors with broken arches: the Porta da Senhora do Amparo, the False Gate and the Postigo.
- 2 , Square of the Cathedral. It is a magnificent example of Mannerist architecture, with some Renaissance and Gothic features. The figure most revered by the people of Mirandese, the Menino Jesus da Cartolinha, is kept here. For two centuries it was an important center of religious life; the see was later transferred to Bragança. Behind the church, you can see the ruins of the Old Episcopal Palace.
