Moore’s Island, in places too More Island written, is 32 km northwest of Sandy Point and is the only permanently inhabited island off the west coast of Abaco. There are two fishing villages there Hard bargain as the main town with the government offices and The Bight. The only source of income for the residents is fishing. But there are close family ties to Sandy Town and the suburb of Marsh Harbor, Murphy Town. Nothing else is known about the island's history.

The mail boat Captain Gurth Dean sails from Sandy Point via Moore’s Island, Bulocks Harbor and Berry Islands to Nassau. The fare for a one-way trip is $ 45. Departures from Nassau on Friday at 6 p.m., return on Sunday at 8 a.m.
