Mourenx is a municipality of New Aquitaine in the department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques in France.

Understand

Rural commune of Béarn, existing since XII^e century, its population suddenly grew in the middle of the XX^e century, with the establishment of housing in a new town, accommodating workers from the industrial basin of Lacq. In a few years, the population grew from around 200 inhabitants to more than 10,000.
