Mule It is a municipality of the Río Mula region Murcian, Spain. To the south and southwest are the Regional Park of Sierra Espuña and Sierra de Cambrón, in charge of closing the passage to the Guadalentín valley, although leaving between them a natural passage that connects the Lorca lands with the Mula basin. To the north is the Sierra de Ricote that separates Mula from the depression of the Segura River as it passes through the Vega Media. Towards the East and Northwest the basin remains open and facilitates the communications of Mula with the Murcian capital and with the Municipalities of the Northwest region.

  • Church of Santo Domingo. The oldest of the parish temples of Mula, which apparently was a mosque placed under Dominican devotion by the future Alfonso X after the Conquest of Mula. It has the peculiarity of having two main altars, although the one that stands in the chapel of Nuestra Señora del Rosario has the choir at its feet. Its interior keeps a rich artistic heritage, highlighting an interesting neo-Gothic organ. It can be visited during mass hours.
  • Hermitage of Our Lady of Carmen. It preserves a beautiful bell tower from the end of the 15th century, as the rest comes from the works of adaptation of the church to the Baroque taste. Hours: Saturdays in winter 5.30 pm; Saturdays in summer 6.30pm.
  • Royal Convent of the Incarnation. It has been inhabited by nuns of the order of Santa Clara for more than 300 years. The bell tower is the only thing that remains of the old hermitage of Nuestra Señora de los Olmos. Its construction began in 1680 and in just five years the nuns, from the Convent of La Descalzas Reales in Madrid, occupied their new monastery. Carlos II then included this foundation within the Royal Heritage, placing a marble shield with his arms in the courtyard from which access to the enclosure. Being a cloistered nunnery, this monastery is open on rare occasions, such as Holy Week or festivities.
Caputa fountain.
  • Caputa Fountain. It is a humid area of ​​natural origin located north of the La Cierva reservoir. The landscape is determined by the existence of a spring through which the infiltrated waters emerge in the Llanos del Ardal. On its way it fits between the elevations of Loma de Herrero and Cejo Cortado, forming small waterfalls and several pools of great scenic appeal.

The museum guards the archaeological materials found in one of the Iberian sites that have contributed more novelties to the research on this peninsular pre-Roman culture.   • Casa Pintada Foundation - Cristóbal Gabarrón Museum. It offers a revitalization of the exceptional culture and art of the Region of Murcia. It is interesting both for its content, more than a hundred works by the versatile artist Cristóbal Gabarrón, and for the building that houses it, an 18th century manor house with an exuberant facade decorated with sgraffito.   • Hermitage of La Puebla de Mula. Also called Old Hermitage. It is located in the district of La Puebla de Mula. It is one of the oldest buildings in the Region of Murcia.
