Urban centers
- Azuga - It is about to become one of the most important ski resorts in the Romania, having ski lifts, 6 downhill ski slopes and a cross-country track.
- Breaza - Known for its thermal waters, recommended for diseases of the nervous and cardiovascular system; thanks also to the surrounding environment, it is a popular place for stress relief and long convalescence.
- Bușteni - Location with a purely tourist vocation, both for the proximity of some important ski resorts, in particular Sinaia, and for its position which makes it a starting point for numerous excursions and climbs.
- Curtea de Argeș - The city is a popular tourist destination for winter sports and hiking.
- Câmpulung - About 4 km away are the remains of the powerfully fortified Roman castrum of Jidava, built at the time of the emperors Commodus and Septimius Severus.
- Sinaia - One of the most beautiful mountain resorts in Romania, also notable for its picturesque architecture.
- Slănic - Purely touristic city, both for the presence of 3 salt lakes, the Shepherd Lake (Baia Baciului), the Green Lake (Green Bay) and the Red Lake (Roşie Bay) which make it a well-known spa.
- Vălenii de Munte - It offers an ethnographic museum and a natural science museum as well as several churches.
