Short history
Galata Monastery is a nunnery, founded at the end of the 16th century by Petru Schiopul.
It is surrounded by walls with battlements, at the entrance to the Galata Monastery there is a bell tower, and the complex has the appearance of a fortress, often serving in the past as a royal residence and even as a refuge. Near the Monastery, you can admire the city from above.
