Fishermen in the village of Mũi Ne

Mũi Né is actually a small fishing village. One can see the fishing boats by the hundreds in the small curved bay of the village. You can also watch fishermen in the baskets floating on the water. The kilometer-long sandy beach south of the village has meanwhile created an unmanageable number of hotels and restaurants.

getting there

In the street

Buses run from Ho Chi Minh City above Phan Thiet directly to Mũi Né. If the drivers know, you will be let off the bus directly in front of the desired hotel. This option should be used, as the hotels are all on the only street, but are spread over a distance of over 10 km. The journey time is approximately 4 hours.

By train

12 kilometers west of the provincial capital, 22 kilometers away Phan Thiet is the train station of Mương Man on the north-south main line. A regional train serves the 12 kilometers to the city.

By plane

The nearest airport is over 200 kilometers away in Ho Chi Minh City. Since most holidaymakers start or end their Vietnam trip at this international airport, a swim in Mui Ne is usually the beginning or the end of their trip. Airport transfers are made by taxis, limousines, shuttles or buses. The largest route network is operated by the state-owned airline Vietnam Airlines, which flies to most of the country's commercial airports. Vietnam Airlines most frequently goes to the large cities of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Danang, the holiday island of Phu Quoc, Haiphong and the imperial city of Hue. The airline flies daily to Buon Ma Thuot, Can Tho, Dalat, Dien Bien Phu, Dong Hoi, Nha Trang (Cam Ranh), Pleiku, Quy Nhon, Rach Gia, Tam Ky, Thanh Hoa, Tuy Hoa and Vinh. The subsidiary VASCO (Vietnam Air Service Company) takes over routes from Ho Chi Minh City to smaller airports in the south with propeller aircraft. These include the Con Dao archipelago, the southernmost town of Ca Mau, and the coastal towns of Chu Lai and Tuy Hoa.

mobility

On foot, by bike or by moped you can cover the paths on the only street parallel to the sea. The length of the path should not be underestimated, because from one end of the beach to the other is a distance of over 10 km. Bicycles and mopeds can be rented from many hotels, restaurants and tour agencies. The prices are sometimes very different, which is why you should compare and act.
