Communicate
Around
The waterfalls ofEkom Nkam, made "famous" by the film Greystoke in 1984 (although few people seem to have seen it) are located about 40 minutes by motorbike from the city. Entrance: 2000F / pers. Camera: 500F. To get there, the easiest way is to take a guide in town who will bring you there and show you around, all for around 5000F. Your hotel should be able to find a guide for you without much difficulty.
The tour mainly offers three viewpoints: up on the edge of the falls, halfway up and at the foot of the falls. The first two viewpoints are easily accessible on foot, the third much less during the rainy season. The path is difficult to pass due to mud and slippery stones. Also pay attention to the "rain" caused by the mist from the falls.
It is possible to cross the river at the top of the falls in the dry season. It is on the other hand suicidal in the rainy season.
