Northern Canada is a sparsely populated subarctic region. This is one of the most remote regions on Earth, with vast landscapes and great nature and wildlife worth observing. It is also home to the Inuit people and other First nations, with a wealth of natural resources.

Cities
In this area, the term "city" becomes a relative term, especially when measured by population. However, some smaller places (by the standards of the South) can be of enormous importance for large areas since the only thing a city approaches for hundreds or even thousands of kilometers. The most important places are:
- Dawson city, town of the territory of Yukon.
- Iqaluit, capital of nunavut.
- Inuvik.
- Whitehorse, capital of the Yukon Territory.
- Yellowknife, the capital of the Northwest Territories.
Other destinations
Much of this area is virgin land and sparsely populated. The area has several parks. Examples include:

- Kluane National Park, located in the extreme southwest of the Yukon Territory.
- Nahanni national park, in the Northwest Territories of Canada, is located 500 kilometers west of Yellowknife.
